Meet Glennis Walters - Lady Love’s Owner & Operator

Hi, I’m Glennis! I built Lady Love Pet Care to offer animals thoughtful, and calm in-home care, and to give pet parents genuine peace of mind while they’re away.

Animals have always been at the center of my life, and I’ve worked professionally across many areas of animal care and welfare. My background includes time as an Animal Control Officer responding to emergencies, in shelters and rescues providing daily care and enrichment, in a veterinary hospital assisting medical teams, and as a long time foster caregiver and private pet sitter.

These experiences shaped my care approach that is knowledgeable, intuitive and deeply attentive to each pets unique needs, including shy pets, seniors, and animals with behavioral and medical considerations.

Beyond the professional side, I’m also a former pet parent myself. I understand what it’s like to travel, to miss your pets while you’re away, and to hope you’ve chosen the right person to care for them. That perspective helps me offer the kind of care I’d want for my own: thoughtful, grounded and reliable.

I hold certifications as a Pet End-of Life Doula, Fear Free practitioner and Pet CPR/First Aid certified caregiver, allowing me to provide gentle, informed support for pets at every stage of life.

As Lady Love grows, my intention is to build a small, trusted team that shares this same compassionate, detail oriented approach - so that more pets can be supported with the same level of presence, attention and thoughtful care.

Our Approach & Values

Care is always gentle, calm, and deeply attentive. Every visit is guided by awareness of body language, emotional state and individual needs, so pets feel safe, respected and truly cared for.

Attention is fully on your pet during each visit. Routines are followed closely, boundaries are honored and subtle changes in comfort or behavior are noticed early. This thoughtful presence helps pets remain relaxed, supported and emotionally secure while their people are away.

Our goal is simple: to provide comforting presence and companionship - so pets feel cared for and understood, and clients feel at ease knowing everything is handled with responsibility, reliability and heart.

The Story Behind Lady

Lady Love Pet Care was inspired by a very special dog, Lady, my beloved heart dog, whose love and sensitivity shaped the values behind this business.

Lady was a senior when I adopted her and unknown to me at the time, came with special behavioral and medical needs that required extra patience and understanding. The first time I left her with a pet sitter, I had to end my trip early because she was too overwhelmed to be handled. I quickly learned that Lady had specific fear based reactivity that required thoughtful management centered around patience, slow introductions and advocating for her boundaries to be respected. She also lived with several health issues, including arthritis and a unique arrhythmia, all of which required specific medications and comfort focused care.

Lady was not an easy dog but she was a deeply special one. She taught me how to truly read body language, recognize fear based stress signals, and approach animals in a way that makes them feel safe and empowered. She showed me that care isn’t just about feeding and walking but requires presence, awareness and meeting animals where they are.

Lady loved long walks, digging in mud and sunbathing. She was stubborn, silly and full of personality. Lady was deeply loyal and loving to those whom she trusted. She offered wisdom, laughter, friendship and unconditional love - gifts that continue to shape my life and the way I care for every animal I meet.

My care approach always keeps Lady’s legacy of love in mind. Every visit is centered on calm presence, patience and the gentle love that Lady needed and taught me to give. The promise behind Lady Love Pet Care is to offer your pets the same feeling of comfort and trust, so that you can travel with peace of mind, knowing that your pet is safe in trustworthy and loving hands.
